From the recording Flambeau Fire--Politically Hot ...
"Flambeau Fire" was inspired by the courageous Ojibwa Native People and their exercise of 1854 treaty rights to hunt, fish and gather in Wisconsin ceded territory. Merle and Karen stood with 'Witnesses for Non-violence' in the face of the massive, contentious civil unrest at Northern Wisconsin boat landings. Anti-spearing uproar was contrived to realize a strategic corporate-grab for Wisconsin's timber, mineral & water resources. (Ojibwa spear fishers traditionally used birch bark torches and canoes, hence "Lac du Flambeau"/ Lake of the Fires.
Near the beginning there is a brief surprise chorus-vocal 'expression' which manifested on its own. Some kind of 'mojo' or unintended 'sonic happening' surfaces here & there in the original song album,"Flambeau Fire--Politically Hot" album, & in other recordings. These 'happenings' can be best detected by listening with a high quality set of headphones with a quality playback device (using the highest resolution mode as in iTunes).
